I really want to encourage people of all age to become more active, for both their physical and mental health's sake. Age is no barrier to what you can do. Enjoy our wonderful city parks and Derbyshire countryside by walking, or if you feel a little bit more energetic, try a Couch to 5K course with a local running club such as Derwent Runners - they will show you how to run for pleasure by starting with walk/runs. They also do Talk/Walk/Run sessions to help with physical and mental wellbeing. I'm in my sixties and run many Marathons. You don't have to be quite as extreme as me, but you could if you wanted!
