Bird Watching Walk

Walk summary

We will be walking through the grounds of the delightful Kedleston Park.  We will try and identify individual bird song, bring your own binoculars if you have some.  This will be a gentle walk with lots of stops to identify those birds followed by a 30-minute social refreshment break afterwards.

If you are not a member of the National Trust please inform your Walk leader as there is a nominal fee to pay for entry.   

Bring a drink or grab one from the restaurant whilst you discuss the birds you've seen today. 

It is advisable to wear a small backpack with a water bottle.

You are asked to contact your Walk Leader by phone, leaving a voicemail or send an SMS text to the number listed, if you are likely to be delayed.

Whilst we do understand that sometimes it is not possible to make a class, please be aware that we do operate a no refund policy if you give us less than 2 hours’ notice.

Distance: 3 to 4 kms

Difficulty: Grade 1 -  an easy walk on well-maintained paths without stiles and only very moderate hills (not suitable for pushchairs)

Walk duration: 1 - 2 hours
