Ecclesbourne Valley Circular Walk

A 90-minute moderately paced WALX around Ecclesbourne Valley in our series of weekly walks.

Along the River Ecclesbourne in the valley close to Hazelwood and Windley are a series of walks taking in some parkland, fields and meadows with views up and down this stunning quiet valley.  

Please bring a drink or if the pub is open use the garden for refreshments.  

This walk grade is 2. See details on grading. Not suitable for beginners or pushchairs.

Please note: Many use poles for these walks but it is not a requirement.

Please bring a hot drink for afterwards. 

Dress appropriately for the weather, walking shoes, waterproof jacket and trousers if required, no jeans or trainers.

It is advisable to wear a bum bag with a water bottle or hydration pack.

You are asked to contact your Walk Leader by phone, leaving a voicemail or send an SMS text to the number listed, if you are likely to be delayed.

Whilst we do understand that sometimes it is not possible to make a class, please be aware that we do operate a no refund policy if you give us less than 2 hours’ notice.

Difficulty: Grade 2 -  moderate walk with some difficult paths and the possibility of one or more substantial hills with stiles (not suitable for beginners or pushchairs)
