The Derby Walking Festival 2022 has now ended. A huge thank you to all of the event partners and volunteers who helped to make it happen. Although the Festival is over, you can still get out and about in our city with one of the self-guided walks below.

This is a short circular walk of just over 2 miles. following the River Derwent Northwards from Handisides Bridge through Darley Park to Evans Mill, and returning by way of Darley Fields.

It is hard to realise that this walk never strays far from the outer limits of Derby, but right from the start the route wanders through farmland devoted to wheatfields and lush pasture.
